Introducing Captain Taxtastic
Some people know a LOT about taxes – bookkeeping, accounting, filing, avoiding. Captain Taxtastic probably knows more about taxes than anyone else, so if you have questions about taxes, you should definitely try to look them up. Last I heard, Captain Taxtastic was pretty hard to track down, so if you can’t find them you can just call an accountant instead.
People who have businesses, even people who don’t know much about taxes, usually start a company. A company is just a name to put on a tax return that tells the tax collector – the government – that business is happening, and helps the company’s owner to keep their personal taxes and the company’s taxes separate. Ground-Up Governance will NOT talk about taxes very much. You’re welcome.
In the meantime, imagine your experience selling pop culture memorabilia sparked something in you: an idea of your own that marries your love of singer/songwriter/icon Billie Eilish and your keen sense of street style. You’re not exactly sure where your inspiration will lead, but you head out right away to register your company: Reallie Steilish Fashion.
