Hey Ground-Up fans! It is officially the one-year anniversary of the launch of Ground-Up Governance! It’s been an incredible year as we’ve explored definitions and concepts and had radical conversations with world-changers through the Sound-Up Governance podcast.
We’re standing back and looking at Ground-Up one year in and feeling super proud and also *hugely* grateful for your support. We have a few important things on our minds that we want to share with you:
Holy smokes! this whole platform has turned out super cool! Way to go, us! The vibe, the characters, the universe, the, well...everything.
Is it possible we've hit a point of diminishing returns, where each new post kinda doesn't matter as much as the last? And where definition 90 will matter a *lot* less than definition 10?
As much as Ground-Up Governance is rad af and lots of people follow along (thanks!), is it really making a difference? Maybe? Could it maybe matter a lot more?
We (Matt & Nate) still really want to work together on governance stuff, so...
This brings us to a pretty confident feeling that we should create something new that builds on the core of Ground-Up Governance. We have *so* many ideas and are zeroing in on what's most exciting, fun and impactful.
This doesn’t mean that we’re abandoning Ground-Up Governance. It will continue to serve as a home to track our journey and for the occasional definition and podcast. But, starting in a few weeks things are gonna slow down pretty significantly for a bit. Before long, we’ll have a bunch of info about what's happening, and how you can get involved.
Oh, and we won't forget about all of you who've been with us through the journey so far. You'll have early and privileged access to whatever is happening next.
We look forward to continuing to shake up the world of corporate governance alongside you!
You've created such a wonderful resource for those of us who are new to this world yet want to know more. I still have the irrational urge to share posts with my phlegmatic colleagues and say, SEE! this is what I was talking about, only Matt and Nate really know what they are talking about and are capable of puns and cartoons. But mostly, I hope to return to this material many times in the future. I will always be interested in what you build, thank you!
Thank you, Matt! and in terms of having fun with understanding governance, I note that those who really have fun with the ideas are also actually deeply care about governance and how important it is for large and small groups. You guys are the best.
It's our birthday! So, what do we do now??
